“This is a wonderful opportunity to hear from a prophet of God!” says Andrew Bachelder of the Nameo Ward in Edmonton. “We are so blessed to have President Nelson come speak to us.”

The visit by President Nelson to the members of the Church in Alberta closely follows his recently completed eight-city, 11-day global ministry tour on the continents of Europe, Africa and Asia. During that tour he shared a message of hope with thousands of Church members throughout the world, encouraging them to face the challenges of life. He also extended an invitation to believe in Jesus Christ and follow Him.

As President Nelson finished his global ministry tour April 22, 2018, on the Brigham Young University–Hawaii campus in Laie, Hawaii, he said, “Our message to you tonight is the same as the message we’ve given to others, that God lives, that Jesus is the Christ, that this is His Church restored in its fulness.”

Elder James E. Evanson, who resides in Lethbridge, Alberta, and is an Area Seventy of the Church with responsibility for southern Alberta, states: “We encourage all members of the Church in Alberta to arrange their schedules to attend this unique opportunity to hear messages of inspiration from the president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and their wives.”
