Leader Biography

David P. Homer

Elder David P. Homer was named a member of the Sixth Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 6 April 2013.

Elder Homer received a bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Utah in 1985, and a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1987. He started his career in 1995 as the vice president of marketing for General Mills. Currently he is the President of General Mills in Canada.

Elder Homer has served in numerous Church callings, including full-time missionary in Hong Kong, China, Bishop, regional welfare chairman, and stake president.

David Paul Homer was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on 25 April 1961. He married Nancy Dransfield in July 1984. They are the parents of six children. Elder and Sister Homer reside in Burlington, Ontario.
