Church's 185th Annual General Conference

More than 100,000 Church members, friends and invited guests are expected to attend the 185th Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that is held Saturday and Sunday 4-5 April 2015, in the Conference Center in Salt Lake City. Thousands of Canadians are joining millions more to watch or listen to conference via television, radio, satellite and Internet broadcasts.

As part of a continued effort to make general conference proceedings more accessible to members around the globe, the priesthood session has been shown live for the second time through expanded channels, including LDS.org, the Mormon Channel and BYUtv.

Elder James E. Evanson, from Lethbridge, Alberta) has been called as a new Area Seventy

Elder Paul D.M Christensen, (born in Vancouver, British Columbia) was released as Area Seventy during the Saturday afternoon session.
